Our client is a privately-held, family-owned and operated company that has been in the bottled water business for over 60 years.
We are searching for a Vice President of Quality Control/Food Safety Compliance for a manufacturing facility in Olancha, CA. This person will be responsible for assisting in the management and training of the quality control department and overseeing the Company’s food safety program across nine manufacturing facilities, as well as leading and managing internal and external audit teams to ensure quality control and food safety compliance and consistency. He/she will also lead and manage the design and maintenance of a comprehensive food safety compliance program, including formulation and updating of program documents, performance of regular audits and continual department personnel training.
- Bachelor Degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology, and/or Food Industry Management from an accredited institution. Master’s degree preferred
- 5-7 years demonstrated successful management experience in food production industry, quality control & food safety. Beverage manufacturing experience preferred
- In depth knowledge of food manufacturing best practices, food production, safety and quality regulations (FDA, FDCA, FSMA, HAACP, GMPs, SOPs, Audits)
COMPENSATION: $130,000 to $150,000 annually
