Our client is a large commercial bakery that has been in business for 44 years.
We are searching for a Senior Quality Assurance Manager for a large commercial bakery in Escondido, CA. This person will manage and coordinate specific Food Safety and Quality Programs, to include: Internal Audits, Shelf life studies on new and existing products, Internal Issues and Holds, Lab equipment and calibration, Glass and Hard Plastics and Mock Recalls. They will also ensure specifications are communicated, institutionalizing process control and predictive quality processes, as well as serving as a liaison between operations, purchasing, R&D and sales to ensure all specifications are pertinent, current, accurate and followed.
- Bachelor Degree in Food Science or other related field
- 10+ years QA management experience and SQF or other GFSI auditing requirements
- In depth knowledge of food manufacturing best practices, food production, safety and quality regulations (FDA, FDCA, FSMA, HAACP, GMPs, SOPs, Audits)
COMPENSATION: $95,000 to $105,000 annually
