Our firm has been retained by The National World War II Museum to conduct a search for an Associate Vice President Travel. The World War II Museum, based in downtown New Orleans, offers a compelling blend of sweeping narrative and poignant personal detail. The National WWII Museum features immersive exhibits, multimedia experiences, and an expansive collection of artifacts and first-person oral histories, taking visitors inside the story of the war that changed the world. Beyond the galleries, the Museum’s online collections, virtual field trips, educational travel programs, and renowned International Conference on World War II offer patrons new ways to connect to history and honor the generation that sacrificed so much to secure our freedom.

The Associate Vice President Travel is responsible for selling, developing, and managing successful high quality educational travel programs, conferences and other initiatives featuring WWII battle sites and destinations across the world. The AVP is the senior manager responsible for ensuring that the Museum becomes the world’s leading provider of high quality WWII educational travel experiences. This position reports directly to the COO. The successful candidate will develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy to reach targeted audiences. He or she will develop partnerships with alumni programs, studies abroad, military organizations, etc. in support of museum managed travel programs. The AVP is also responsible for the development and management of the travel related programs working in coordination with the COO, CMO and senior management staff.
